It was slightly ironical that a year after introducing a 4mm scale series of diecast road vehicles, through a deal with the firm Oxford Diecasts, that Lima Classics should join the Hornby Group, bringing with it ranges of diecast models. These included two in 4mm scale - Original Omnibus Company and Lineside. However, the model Scammell BP tanker is probably from the former Lledo Days Gone range, taken over by Corgi several years ago. I have always felt that the Lledo range models in this scale were too crude to be displayed with Hornby's highly accurate models and this strengthens my view.
