Hornby BR Brake Van Departmental R6350

The standard BR brake van was the last brake van developed by Hornby prior to the rapid expansion of wagons that occurred with the Dapol purchase in the 1990s. It arrived in 1982 and replaced a less detailed model. However, the toolmaker over scaled the wood grain effect with the result that the model would have looked more realistic with just plain planking. This model carries the number 'D8955196' and the TOPS code RAR. The grey and red livery dated from 1984 when BR businesses were being set up including, in this case, Railfreight.
