Bachmann Windhoff MPV 31-577
These were built between 1998 and 2001 by Windhoff GmbH for use by Railtrack for maintenance work. Each consists of a ‘master’ and ‘slave’ unit, alternative 'on-board' equipment and directional lighting. It is also fitted with 21-pin DCC decoder sockets.
The Bachmann model first saw the light of day in 2011 and is a striking piece of equipment. The cabs are in dark blue and lime green with yellow front panels. The rest of the superstructure is grey with white handrails. The detail on this model is extensive and very impressive. Modules on the flat bed are removable and changeable. The model's running numbers are DR98960 + DR98910.
