Bachmann VGA 37-606A
The VGA vans began to appear in the early 1980s and showed a similarity with Continental designs. This saw a complete change in design - instead of sliding doors they had sliding sides - thus the name 'Sliding Wall Vans'. This made access to the interior easier and a further advantage was that the van had a greater capacity.
Bachmann introduced their model of the VGA in 1998. This was short lived as two years later it was upgraded to the Blue Riband specification. The latest release is in EWS maroon livery and numbered 210932 .
