Bachmann 12T Ex-GWR Vent Fruit Van 37-754C
This is an example of the GWR 'Goods Fruit A' vans mounted on a Blue Riband chassis with NEM pockets for couplings and separate brake handles. While these were built as fruit vans, they were also used for vegetable traffic and general merchandise. They had a 10ft wheelbase and were vacuum-braked and XP rated. The model is of a van that passed into BR ownership in 1948 and is now in BR brown livery and numbered W134277.
