Graham Farish HAA Hopper Wagon 377-901B
The aluminium bodied air-braked HAA hopper wagons were built at BREL Shildon Wagon Works between 1973 and 1974. They had a 32.5 ton capacity and were built for the merry-go-round trains that transferred coal from the mines to the power stations. Nearly 10,000 of this design were built and so intense was their use that the wagon bodies usually wore out after 15 years and had to be replaced.
The model was added to the Graham Farish range in 2005 and nine versions of it have been made. This one is in EWS livery and is numbered 350357.
