The Class 14 model was released for the first time last year and three versions of it made were all in BR liveries. Some of the real locomotives were sold to the National Coal Board when the class was decommissioned by BR and an example in NCB blue livery has been used for this set as No.7. The loco has yellow bufferbeams and red coupling rods. Separate handrails are fitted and these are picked out in white. In order to fit functional couplers, the buffer plate on the model had to be shortened. However, in a bag-o-bits that comes in the set, there are four buffer-plate extensions, ready painted yellow.
