Hornby Skaledale Low Relief Terrace Shops
For a long time, railway modellers have used low relief buildings against the backscene
on the layout. The once popular Bilteezi sheets of the 1950s (still available today)
included low relief buildings amongst their large range of subjects. Fairly recently,
Hornby have expanded their Skaledale building range to include some, and here we have two
of them. Both consist of a pair of two storey newly built red brick buildings that form
part of a terrace. The ground floors are extended out towards the street and each shop has
a small window set in the roof and a brick chimney. All of the shops have plain modern
windows and recessed doors.
