Hornby Skaledale GWR Signal Box R9664
This is part of a series of GWR railway buildings in the Skaledale series. Although shown painted cream and green in the catalogue, both the model and the packaging have it in cream and brown. It would seem that this model was produced as a low cost accessory as the subject chosen has internal access to the upper floor, thus avoiding the need for external steps, landing and verandah. The model also had no floor or other interior detail. However, the exterior is attractively finished and it should find a home on many layouts. It also provides a challenge for anyone wanting to build their own interior detail.
