Hornby Class J94 0-6-0ST R3023
This model was designed and tooled by Dapol and represents a powerful 0-6-0 tank which was built in large quantities during the Second World War. After hostilities had ended, most of the stock of locomotives owned by the Ministry of Defence were sold off to either the LNER or other industries, the National Coal Board being a principal buyer.
Hornby have produced 22 versions of it since 1998 including LNER, BR, NCB and MOD examples. This is the 10th of the former LNER purchased locomotives to be produced in BR plain black livery and the 6th with late decals. This time the model is numbered 68006.
