Hornby 6-wheel Milk Tank Wagon
R6535
Released first in 2007, Hornby had used the Lima body but built a new GWR chassis to carry it. Starting from scratch with the chassis, meant that they were able to incorporate NEM coupling pockets and fit small tension-lock couplings. The 6-wheel chassis was introduced for milk wagons to reduce the vibrations which would cause the milk to 'separate'.
Since the model was introduced, there have been twelve versions of it and this is the most recent of these. It is in the maroon livery of West Park Dairy and is numbered 175. The tank body normally belonged to the dairy and the chassis to the railway company and so they were separately numbered. In this case there is no printing on the chassis and so no chassis number given.
