Graham Farish BR 10T Meat Vans
![]()
The insulated meat vans were to the same basic construction as the standard ventilated van but had metal side louvers on the upper sides on either side of the doors. They had corrugated steel ends and had four large vents in each end wall, running down the centre from top to bottom.
150 were built at BR Wolverton in 1953 and the building of them was a complete waste of money as there was a diminishing demand for meat vans. Consequently, many ended up in ale traffic. They were gradually absorbed into general traffic and broken up early.
Here we have two
versions, produced from brand new tooling. In early brown we have number B870073 (373-741)
and in late brown there is number B870032 (373-742).
