Graham Farish Class 61xx Prairie Tank
![]()
Designed by C.B.Collett as a development of the Class 51xx, the Class 61xx tank engine was introduced to the GWR in 1931. 70 members of the class were built between 1931 and 1935 and allocated to the London area. The last of the class was withdrawn in 1966 and only one example has been preserved at Didcot Railway Centre. Interestingly the preserved locomotive (6106) has not yet been modelled by Bachmann.
The original Graham Farish model was first released in 1977 and it was re-released by Bachmann in 2003. This is the ninth version of it to be produced by Bachmann and is No. 6114 in GWR green livery (371-981A).
