One of the great successes of the Bachmann 00 model range has been the BR Mk1 coaches. When they arrived in 1999, they proved to be a great improvement on the Hornby Mk1s which had been around for almost 40 years. Bachmann moved quickly to expand the number of coach types and effectively cornered the Mk1 model coach market.

This was a huge missed opportunity for other N gauge manufacturers. While you can mix goods wagons in a train, when building passenger trains, you are far more likely to buy all the units of the same brand.Mk1 SK 2nd Corridor c&c E24240 374-060A.jpg (50678 bytes)
