Bachmann LMS 50' Parcels Van
Most of the real vans were built at Wolverton in the late 1930s and virtually all had been scrapped by 1968. Built to diagram 2007, they were successors to the 'Stove R' and became the most numerous LMS full brakes on the system. Most were rated as having a 12 ton carrying capacity.
The model was tooled by Kader. It was released in the last year of Mainline Railways and consequently had a shorter life in Mainline packaging. Even so, it was produced in six different liveries, much of the stock being bought by Dapol upon the demise of the Mainline range.
The latest release by Bachmann has the model in LMS maroon livery and numbered 31200 (34-327D).
