Bachmann Class 4575 2-6-2T
32-138This model was introduced by Bachmann in 2004. The real locomotives were GWR Class 45xx tanks built to the modified design of 1927. They had larger side tanks, giving an extra 300 gallons water capacity and sloping tank tops to improve driver visibility. They also had larger bunkers than their predecessors, to increase coal capacity.
The model has a heavy diecast chassis block and highly detailed cab. It is fitted with sprung buffers and a metal chimney. This is the seventh version to be produced by Bachmann and is in BR late green livery with the number 5550.
