Another earlier model to be transferred to the RailRoad range is Hornby's own model of a non-rebuilt LMS 'Patriot'. The model was originally released in 1-79 as one of a number of better quality models produced in order to compete with Airfix and Mainline products. Ten versions of it have been produced, the last in 2007. The same year, Hornby introduced their much higher specification models of the rebuilt 'Patriot' and 'Royal Scot'.

The RailRoad 'Patriot' is in LMS maroon and features No.5532 Illustrious.
