Hornby First Scot Rail Class 156
R2950It was the Scottish Parliament which decided that ScotRail should have a uniquely
Scottish livery and this is the first of the Hornby models to carry it. It incorporates
the Saltire, otherwise known as the cross of St Andrew, in white on a blue background.
The Class 156 model was developed by Lima and first released in 1989. They produced 19 versions of it. The tooling passed to Hornby in 2004 on acquisition of the Lima Group assets and the model was reintroduced by Hornby in 2006. Since then, there have been another seven versions of it produced.
