Hornby's super-detailed Class 08 diesel shunter was released in 2005 and replaced a model dating from the mid 1970s, which had a completely wrong chassis. The new model brought a new high standard of detail to the smaller diesels which has not been bettered. In 2010, a versions fitted wit sound chis were released. The two models illustrated here are not sound fitted but are 'DCC ready'.
