Graham Farish Class 14 372-951G Class 14.JPG (55758 bytes)

This is a centre cab diesel-hydraulic shunter built at Swindon between 1964 and 1965. By the time construction had started on the 56 strong fleet, much of the work they had been intended for had disappeared. They therefore had a doubtful future and it is not surprising that most of them found their way into private ownership for industrial use. Two years after the last of the fleet left Swindon works, the first of the class was withdrawn from service an just two years later they had all gone. As many as 17 are today to be found on heritage lines.

Bachmann released the model in 2010 having developed it under wraps. Our sample is D9523 and is in BR green livery.
