Graham Farish CEA Covered Hopper Wagon
373-475AHopper wagons have the common feature of doors in the floor for discharging loads and to facilitate this they have a funnel or cone shaped body. They are built for the transportation of bulk cargos that
could be safely and quickly emptied by gravity. In the early years these were always open wagons although sometimes sheeted over. Later, covered hopper wagons, such as those used for the bulk transportation of grain, began to appear. Today, dusty loads are carried in enclosed hoppers to reduce pollution of the countryside by wind blown material and the CEA is one of these. The Graham Farish model dates from 2006 and a recent release is in the orange and black adopted by Loadhaul and is numbered 361845.
