Hornby SkaleAutos Vehicles
The SkaleAutos range first appeared in the 2008 catalogue and Hornby hit the deck running with a large range of vehicles available. These were produced for them by Oxford Diecast and made use of that company's existing models, but in new liveries. Since entering into agreement with Oxford Diecast, Hornby have bought Corgi and with it acquired the Lineside range of 00 scale commercial vehicles. It was therefore not surprising to find some of these creeping into the SkaleAutos range this year. These include R7112 Scammell Handyman artic - Border Haulage (operating across the English-Welsh border), R7110 Pickfords Scammel tractor unit with low-loader trailer and R7108 Pickfords Scammell ballast tractor. From the Oxford range come R7104 Austin K8 van in the blue livery of Motor Repairers & Spares Ltd, R7106 Daimler DS420 and the R7099 caravan.
