Hornby RailRoad Tank Wagon SetH RailRoad triple tank wagon.jpg (39660 bytes)

The Hornby Monobloc tank wagon was introduced in 1973 and for many years was the only proprietary 'modern' 4-wheel tank wagon available. The three in the R6481 RailRoad triple set are without the end ladders and the practice of leaving-off these, in order to reduce production cost, has occurred many times in the life of the model. Under TOPS, the prototype was coded TTA and a detailed model is now made by Bachmann.

The RailRoad triple wagon set contains a grey Esso tanker numbered 7832, a red Amoco tanker (a new name for this model) numbered 5684 and a green BP one numbered 9162.
