At Nationalisation, the former GWR had unfulfilled orders of a slightly different design of unfitted ventilated van. They were delivered to British Railways, who ordered 330 more of them in 1949. The original model released by Bachmann in 1991 had come from Palitoy's Mainline range but it was re-launched as a Blue Riband model in 2001. Two recent additions are 37-731A in BR grey as W142220 and 37-729A in BR brown as W126140.
