Southern 1957 Suburban Pack R2815

Last year Hornby released two train packs with a Southern suburban theme, both making use of Hornby's excellent Maunsell coaches. The first was set in 1938 and was reviewed here at the time of its release. However a sample of the second pack was unavailable for review at the time. This is set in 1957 and whereas the earlier pack had a T9 as its motive power, the R2815 train pack is powered by one of Hornby's new 'Schools' Class models. In this case it is 30924 Haileybury, in BR lined black, with early decals on the tender. The coaches, of course, are in Southern Region coach green and are a 3rd class (S771S), 1st/2nd composite coach (S5636S) and a brake 1st/2nd composite (S6571S).
