1E Promotionals 1st Scottish Wagon1E 7-plk galashiels.jpg (39631 bytes)

1E Promotionals has released its first Scottish wagon in the livery of the Galashiels Gas Light Company. Galashiels in Selkirkshire was once an important junction station on the much missed Waverley route between Carlisle and Edinburgh and branches to Peebles and the county town of Selkirk. 150 models have been produced for 1E Promotionals by Dapol, with each having an individually numbered certificate.

Also released is a Buckinghamshire wagon in the livery of Francis Coales of Newport Pagnell, who owned the mill adjacent to the former Newport Pagnell station on the line from Wolverton. Details for this wagon were taken from a hand-built model made in the 1950s by a local modeller from Wolverton, who acquired information locally from the then mill owners.1E 7-plk coales.jpg (38288 bytes)

The wagons are available from KRS, P.O. Box 6039, Milton Keynes, MK10 1LX or from the North Norfolk Railway Station Shop on Platform 1 at Sheringham Station, Sheringham, Norfolk, NR26 8RA. Wagons can also be purchased on line from www.krsmodelrailways.com or www.nnrailway.co.uk .
