Graham Farish Class 42 Warship BRc 371-602A
The Class 42 BR Western Region diesel hydraulic 'Warship' was not in the original Graham Farish range but was added by Bachmann in 2008. Four versions were originally produced - one green, two maroon and one blue. The model has basically the same mechanism as the upgraded Class 37 of the same year. This includes twin flywheels, a 5-pole skew-wound motor, working illuminated headcode boxes, detailed cab interior and a set of vac and air pipes for the buffer beams. They are all fitted with DCC 6-pin sockets and have standard N gauge couplings in NEM pockets.
This year a further three versions have been added to the range - one in each of the three colours. The sample seen here is in BR green livery as D814 Goliath.
