Graham Farish CrossCountry Class 170 DMU
371-421
Few diesel multiple units are of more value to a model railway manufacturer than the
Class 170. They could be made as either 2-car or 3-car units and could be produced in a
good range of liveries. Bachmann released their first Class 170 unit models in N gauge in
2004 and, since then, have produced it in seven different colour schemes.
The current model is 170519 in the silver and aubergine livery of Arriva Cross Country, a livery that is becoming increasingly familiar on the rail network. Arriva took over services previously provided by Virgin and Central Trains. The model lacks directional lights and has yet to be upgraded to DCC capability.
