Hornby TEA Merco Bogie Tank Wagon R6472TEA Merco .jpg (49961 bytes)

The Hornby 100 ton bogie tank wagon dates from 1970 and has changed structurally very little since then. However, the early finishes were a little crude but over the years the quality of finish has improved vastly. Here we have only the second version of the tanker to appear in 'weathered' condition (in this case, showing accumulated spillage from the filler caps along the top). In reality, these large oil tank wagons are frequently seen in a much dirtier state. This is the third version of Murco livery the model has carried and this one is numbered 'GERS 89019'
