Graham Farish Class 37/0 371-466
The model of the Class 37 diesel locomotive, inherited by Bachmann, dated from 1981 but Bachmann saw the upgrading of the diesel models as a priority after taking over the Graham Farish range. A new Class 37 model arrived last year (2008) and a further one this year. This is the first example of it we have had to review and the detail is quite stunning.
It is what Bachmann call a 'Cut Nose' version as, compared with last year's model (both are 37/0s), it has the body cutaway below the cab fronts. It is, in fact a new body. The model has twin flywheel 5-pole skew wound motor and split headcodes. The sample is in BR Civil Engineer's 'Dutch' livery and sports Canton goat motifs. The subject is '37035' and is 'DCC ready'.
