Hornby Mk3 Inter-City Coaches
The Hornby Mk3 coaches in use today were first released in 1999 and set a new standard
at the time. Some 95 versions have been produced so far and that does not include those
produced from the former Lima tooling for the TGS and SLE. Despite the importance of the
livery, few examples have so far been produced in the original blue and grey that they
appeared in when new on the railway network. Prior to this
release, only one each of the standard open and first open models had been sold solo in
this livery.
The latest releases are standard open 'W42081' (R4367) and first open 'W41055' (R4366). They both carry the 'Inter-City 125' inscription and both have blue interior units.
