Bachmann 100T TEA Bogie Tank Wagon 38-221
Bachmann released a super-detailed TEA 100 ton bogie tank wagon back in 2007 and the following year announced their proposal to produce a crude oil TEA with conical ends. The BP one was released earlier and should be in the shops now. The other two planned for this year are currently on their way. These are the Amoco No.85020 and the one reviewed here - Shell BP No.7500.
Like the other two versions, it is black, but with BP and Shell logos on a horizontal white and orange band which runs around the vehicle. The running number, besides being in the usual place on the sides of the tank is also displayed on boards mounted on the end gantries. The model has a highly detailed under frame and the printing is exquisite but requires a very strong magnifying glass to fully appreciate it.
