Following the successful town gasworks and coal mine, we now have three structures for a small waterworks. These are: R8991 Water Works Building, R8992 Chlorine Tanks and R8993 Water Cleansing Tank. The building is high and built in brick with a pitched roof and a tall chimney. This structure presumably houses the large pumping machinery found on a waterworks site. The chlorine tanks are a pair surrounded by a low brick wall to retain leakages in the event of an accident. The water cleansing tank is concrete, circular, with steps and a gantry to the central podium.
