Hornby 5-plank Wagons
These two wagons are based on the former Airfix model which dates from 1978. Since acquiring the tooling, Hornby have produced over 30 different versions of it. This includes renumbered wagons and existing ones that have been 'weathered'. Up until now, all examples, except three, have carried private owner liveries. Here we have a second one in BR(SR) livery, this time numbered S14547 (R6395A). The other model sees the former Airfix 5-plank open wagon in LNER grey livery (R6441) for the first time. This carries the small 'NE' lettering of post-war years and the running number '629814'.
