The model of an LMS sliding door van started life in 1975 and was one of the first models to be produced in the Mainline Railways range. The tooling passed to Bachmann in 1990. The first Bachmann version appeared the following year but in 2001 it was upgraded to a Blue Riband wagon. Since then, Bachmann have committed themselves to five grey LMS versions and five BR brown ones. The latest version is in LMS grey and numbered '518520'.
