Bachmann 12T GWR Double Vent Van
This started life as a Mainline Railways wagon by Palitoy, the tools for which were taken over by Bachmann. The first Bachmann version arrived in 1991 but in 2001 the model was upgraded to join the Blue Riband wagons and, since then, 20 versions of it have been produced. The two latest versions are GWR '142335' in dark grey livery with a white roof (37-730A) and BR grey liveried 'W133980' (37-731).
During the Second World War, 1,200 standard 12 ton ventilated vans were built at Swindon and the Bachmann model appears to have been based on this standard design.
