Dapol/1E Promotionals 7-plank Wagons
1E Promotionals have released two more wagons in the colours of Gann & Brown, Whitstable (Kent) and Dennick of Lynn (Norfolk). A total of 250 Gann & Brown (NR9) and 225 Dennick wagons (NR10) have been produced by Dapol and an individually numbered printed certificate is provided in each box.
Both wagons are in red-brown liveries and fitted with the new style Dapol chassis which incorporate NEM coupling pockets. The Dennick wagon is numbered 123 and the company was based in Kings Lynn where there was plenty of need for coal for refueling steam ships that called in at the dock on their way up and down the coast. The Gann & Brown wagon is numbered 211 and this was a coal business based in Whitstable.
The wagons are available from a number of dealers including KRS, Unit 3, Rook Tree Farm, Hulcote, Milton Keynes, MK17 8BW or Dave Wills, 41 Crow Hill Road, Garlinge, Margate, Kent, CT9 5PF or from the North Norfolk Railway Station Shop
