It was a GWR design on which British Railways settled for a standard cattle wagon. Eventually 1000 of them were produced at Swindon as 12 ton vehicles. The Bachmann model is new this year and they have started by releasing the model as a GWR 8 ton vehicle, which was very like the BR standard 12 ton ones. The model carries the number '106881'. Although new this year, Bachmann are already committed to producing six versions of it. Three of these are being produced as a BR set exclusively for ModelZone stores.
