Bachmann 20T ex-GWR Brake Van 33-306A
Although the term 'Toad' applied to goods brake vans in general, we tend to associate the term more with those of GWR design. GWR brake vans varied very little in shape, having a long wheelbase and a verandah at one end.
This example is in BR unfitted grey livery and is numbered 'W58834'. A characteristic of brake vans on the Western Region was that they were allocated to specific railway yards and this one was based at Stourbridge. The windows are unglazed.
