1E Promotionals 7-plank Wagons
1E Promotionals have released two more wagons this time in the colours of A. G. Bailey (RM5) and W. Fowler (NR9). The models have been produced by Dapol.
We know that A.G.Bailey was a coal merchant based at Ashford in Kent and that the wagon, this model was based on, carried the number '18'. 250 of these have been produced.
W. Fowler, whilst based in Norwich (Norfolk), at this time bought his coal, from Pinxton Colliery and transported it by way of the Midland Railway. The wagons were supplied with a label attached which said where the contents were to be delivered to and fine writing on the side of the wagon instructed that any empty wagon, without a label, was to be sent to Pinxton Colliery. The model is number 301 of the fleet and 225 of the model have been made.
Each model comes boxed with a numbered window card as a certificate. They are both fitted with the new style Dapol chassis which incorporate NEM coupling pockets and both have moulded coal load inserts.
The wagons are available at £8 each + £1.45 postage from a number of dealers including KRS, Unit 3, Rook Tree Farm, Hulcote, Milton Keynes, MK17 8BW, Dave Wills, 41 Crow Hill Road, Garlinge, Margate, Kent, CT9 5PF or from the North Norfolk Railway Station Shop on Platform 1 at Sheringham Station, Sheringham, Norfolk, NR26 8RA. Wagons can be purchased on line from www.krsmodelrailways.com or www.nnrailway.co.uk .
