Hornby RailRoad Container Wagon R6425Liner Train IBC & IFF RailRoad R6425.JPG (38695 bytes)

Tri-ang Hornby were the first to produce 00 scale 'modern' container wagons when they started to appear on Britain's railways in the 1960s. Although the liner train container carriers were run in fixed sets, the Tri-ang Hornby wagon has always been a single one with tension-lock couplings at both ends. Variety was provided through the large choice of containers which, until recently, were not available without the wagon. However, from the start there were both 20' and 30' long containers. The latest release consists of a black wagon with two 30' containers, these being a maroon coloured IBC numbered 'IBCU 550570' and a blue IFF numbered 'IFFU 890478[4]'. The model is in the RailRoad budget range.
