Graham Farish Class 66 First GBRf 371-392Class 66 SunderlandAFC 371-392.jpg (51910 bytes)

This Class 66 model arrived in 2005 and, since then, has been a best seller. The first model of the environmentally friendly subclass 66/9 arrived in 2007 and three versions of it have been released.

'66725 Sunderland AFC' is in First GBRf purple and the nameplates are a representation of those once carried by LNER Class B17 61654 Sunderland, complete with splasher decoration in club colours. The detail on this model is quite incredible, from the highly detailed livery and markings to structural detail, particularly on the bogies and underframe. The door handrails are produced in wire as are conduits and piping on the chassis and if this detail isn't enough, there is a bag of bits for the purchaser to add, particularly to the bufferbeams; that is, if they have sufficiently good sight and a steady hand to do so - an impossible task for the reviewer.
