Hornby Mk3 Grand Central Railways Mk3 TSO Grand Central.JPG (40371 bytes)

Although the Grand Central liveried HST train pack has not yet arrived, as the brand new locomotive and dummy power cars are still in development, three of the trailer cars are now available. While the HST Mk3 coaches in HST sets are normally buffer-less, a bag of four buffers is supplied with each Grand Central model for the purchaser to fit if required for authenticity, as some loco hauled Mk3 coaches were converted for use in the Grand Central HST sets. The coaches are all-over black, except for the doors which, on the first class cars, are painted gold and, on the rest, are silver. One pair of doors on the buffet car also carry a knife and fork motif. The three vehicles now released are a trailer first (TF) numbered 41205 and lettered 'F' (R4329), a trailer standard (TS) numbered 42401 and lettered 'B' (R4330) and a trailer buffet standard (TRSB) lettered 'E' (R4331) with the number 40424 and marked 'Route 26' in American style.Mk3 Buffet Grand Central.JPG (38708 bytes)
