Hornby RailRoad LNER Gresley Coaches
Before the arrival of the super-detailed Gresley coaches in 2004,
Hornby were making a series of less realistic Gresley passenger stock that they had
introduced to the catalogue in 1977 and 1978. While these have much of the iconic
character of the real coaches, they lacked the finer detail and the teak effect was
produced by a chemical reaction in the plastic and so they were self-coloured. Production
of these much cheaper Gresley coaches has continued for use in cheaper train sets but now
they have been added to the RailRoad budget range as solo models.
R4333 is a brake composite numbered 4237 and R4332 is a 1st/3rd composite coach numbered 22357.
