The loco is in the Electric blue which was once carried by early classes of West Coast Main Line AC electric locomotives, but not the later Class 86s. The livery is therefore non-authentic in terms of the real locomotive but is authentic as far as the model is concerned. This is because the model is based on a real locomotive in a non-authentic livery. The actual Class 86 locomotive is owned by Les Ross after whom it is named and it really does look good in electric blue.
