The GWR brake van joined the Hornby range from Dapol in 1996 and was originally tooled by Airfix. Brake vans of the GWR, and later Western Region, were allocated to specific yards and carried the name of their yard on their sides. So far, the ex-Airfix model has carried eight different names since Hornby took over production of it. The current version represents one allocated to Bordesley Junction (Birmingham) and is in GWR dark grey and numbered 114990.
