Lima produced their GWR AEC railcars for release in 1980 and, two years later, produced the Express Parcels variant with its reduced number of windows. The tooling for both variants is now owned by Hornby and, to date, only the passenger version has been made by them. Now, two years later, we have the Express Parcels model. It has been given a new motor, new wheels and new slim-line couplings. The model represents the same prototype as the Lima, No.34, which Lima produced in four different versions. Hornby have started with the chocolate and cream of the GWR.
