The former Airfix 7-plank wagon has had much use in Hornby's hands. To date, over 30 versions have been produced. The blue 'Firestones Tyres' wagon first appeared in the catalogue last year numbered 2004. The current model is identical but numbered 2008. These were 'contract' wagons, run by Milner Thomas & Co. on behalf of the American company, Firestone Tyre & Rubber Company, whose British factory was in Brentford.
