The former Airfix 5-plank wagon was based on a GWR design but we see it here in the guise of a Southern Railway 5-plank. It is in dark brown and numbered 14133. The model first appeared in the Airfix catalogue in 1978 but they did not produce an SR version. The first Hornby model from the tooling arrived in 1998 and this is the second Southern version.
