Hornby Rebuilt Royal ScotsRoyal Scot Honourable Artillery Company R2729.JPG (48421 bytes)

The Rebuilt Royal Scots models were released at the same time as the Rebuilt Patriots, last year. The poor chimney on the first model was quickly modified for subsequent releases. The models are sold with separate brake rods, front steps, front NEM type coupling, cylinder drain-cocks, vac pipes and imitation articulated couplings supplied in a bag for the customer to fit. None of these have been fitted to the models in the photographs.

The first member of the class to be rebuilt had been 46170 British Legion, in 1935, but no more were converted until 1943. By the time conversions stopped in 1955, 71 had changed shape. Honourable Artillery Company was built in October 1927 and rebuilt in June 1945 while Royal Inniskilling Fusilier was built in October 1927 and rebuilt in November 1944.
